The Swanee Theatre

The Swanee Theatre is a restored historic theatre in downtown Kannapolis, North Carolina, available to hire for private and professional events. Its auditorium and smaller rooms provide flexible settings for occasions such as weddings, birthday celebrations, banquets, company gatherings, conferences and live performances. Organisers can choose a layout to suit their event, from seated dining to a theatre-style arrangement.

The venue offers tables, chairs and linens, with additional facilities and services available to support the booking. These include a kitchen, a green room and an upstairs meeting room. Event planners can also arrange sound and audiovisual support, bartending and event staff where needed. Outside catering is permitted under the venue's booking arrangements, giving organisers options for planning food service. The theatre's illuminated marquee can be used for a special message, adding a personal welcome or event announcement at the entrance.

As well as hosting private hire, the Swanee Theatre operates as a live music and performance venue, with public shows and entertainment in its programme. Its character as a renovated historic theatre offers a distinctive backdrop, while its downtown location places it close to local shops, restaurants and transport links. The combination of a performance auditorium, smaller meeting spaces and optional event services makes it a flexible choice for organisers planning celebrations, business events or performances in Kannapolis. The City of Kannapolis manages bookings and venue hire, and prospective organisers can contact the theatre to discuss availability, room arrangements and the facilities required for their event.
