The Granada Theatre

The Granada Theatre is a historic Art Deco venue in downtown Mount Vernon, Illinois, available for weddings, receptions, corporate functions, class reunions, birthday parties and other private events. Built in 1937, the theatre combines period character with facilities suited to contemporary gatherings, making it a distinctive option for organisers seeking a performance-style setting.

The auditorium and lobby areas can be adapted for different event formats. The venue provides tables and seating for up to 300 guests, including banquet chairs, bar stools and a range of table sizes. Organisers can also make use of professional sound and lighting, microphones and a large projector screen, which can support presentations, speeches and entertainment. Two bars are available, with cash-bar and open-bar options offered for private bookings.

The theatre hosts weddings and receptions as well as business functions and social celebrations. Its team can discuss event requirements, arrange venue tours and provide a rental estimate based on the date, guest numbers, bar arrangements and other options. Catering estimates are available, with menus and costs subject to change. Venue hire is offered in set time blocks, and additional charges may apply for events outside the standard rental hours.

Alongside private hire, The Granada Theatre operates as a live performance venue, with concerts and other public shows on its programme. For event planners, its historic auditorium, flexible lobby spaces and built-in production facilities offer a memorable setting for gatherings that benefit from a stage and theatrical atmosphere.
