The 121 Venue

The 121 Venue offers event planners a historic setting in downtown Baton Rouge for weddings, receptions, corporate functions and private celebrations. Built in 1928, the French Colonial-style property brings together period character and practical facilities across two floors, with around 5,200 square feet of usable event space. The venue can accommodate gatherings of up to 250 people, depending on the event and layout.

Its rooms support different parts of an event, from welcoming guests and dining to dancing and getting ready before a wedding. The main floor includes a warming kitchen, a hand-carved serving bar and additional storage. Upstairs, the Ophelia Suite and Nauman Billiard Room provide separate spaces for the wedding party and guests. The venue also has full and half bathrooms, a bar, a wet bar and a balcony with views towards the Mississippi River.

Couples can use the property for both a ceremony and reception, with private preparation rooms available for the bridal party and groomsmen. The venue also welcomes birthday celebrations, corporate gatherings and other social occasions. Event planners can enquire about current packages, menus and rental arrangements, as these may depend on the date and the chosen event options. Its central Baton Rouge location and historic brick-and-wood interiors make it a distinctive choice for organisers seeking a characterful setting for a private event.
