The Bath & West Showground

The Bath & West Showground is a large-scale venue in the Somerset countryside, offering event planners a choice of indoor spaces and extensive outdoor areas. Its 240-acre site can host a wide range of events, from exhibitions, trade fairs and conferences to concerts, festivals, corporate gatherings and weddings.

Indoor options include several exhibition halls that can be hired individually or combined, with spaces ranging from smaller display areas to large halls suitable for thousands of visitors. The site also has meeting and conference rooms, a theatre, a lounge, and the Wessex Pavilion, which includes a bar and restaurant. For weddings, couples and planners can enquire about marquee locations and indoor settings, including the lounge and hospitality spaces.

Outside, organisers can make use of open land, woodland, a lake and distinctive features such as the miniature railway and bandstand. These settings give planners room to shape outdoor shows, company events, retreats and other gatherings around the character of the site. The venue also offers practical facilities including on-site parking, accessible routes and buildings, 4G coverage across the grounds, and Wi-Fi in many areas.

The Showground team invites organisers to discuss their event requirements and the spaces available. With the ability to accommodate both small meetings and very large public events, the site offers a choice of settings for planners seeking a rural venue with substantial indoor and outdoor capacity near Shepton Mallet.
