Bellfield

Bellfield is a community venue in Portobello, Edinburgh, offering its halls for one-off events and regular bookings. Organisers can hire the large or small hall for private celebrations, parties, fairs, classes, community meetings and other group activities. The spaces are also used for performances and events, making them suitable for a range of gatherings rather than a single event format.

The large hall is listed with capacity for up to 110 seated guests or 170 standing. The small hall can accommodate up to 40 seated or 60 standing. Both rooms can be hired with access to the adjacent kitchen, which is included in the hire price. On Saturdays after 6pm, the large and small halls must be booked together. A booking calendar helps organisers check possible dates, although availability should be confirmed directly with the venue.

Bellfield is run by Action Porty as a community hub, and its halls are available for both community and commercial hire. The venue's historic Celebration Space is being developed, with the website indicating it is expected to become available for bookings from November 2027. For current enquiries, organisers can contact the bookings team with details of their event and requirements. Bellfield provides a practical local option for organisers seeking flexible hall space in Portobello, with room sizes to suit both smaller gatherings and larger functions.
