The Turnbull Building

The Turnbull Building is a historic Chattanooga venue available to hire for weddings, private celebrations, corporate events, exhibitions and productions. Set between the city centre's Southside district and the riverfront, it occupies the upper two floors of a restored industrial building, where exposed brick, original timber beams, hardwood floors and generous natural light create a distinctive setting for gatherings.

The venue offers two separate spaces, with a combined area of around 10,000 square feet. The third floor suits more intimate events, accommodating up to 150 guests for a seated reception or 250 standing. It includes a private dressing suite, substantial restroom facilities and a preparation kitchen. The larger fourth-floor space can host up to 250 seated guests or 300 standing, with a storage area that can also support catering preparations and a small loft feature. Organisers can book a floor to suit their guest numbers and event format.

The building is promoted for weddings as well as business and social occasions. Couples can use the venue for ceremonies, receptions and rehearsal gatherings, while corporate organisers can enquire about weekday arrangements. A venue manager is available to help with venue-related matters before and during an event, but clients need to arrange their own event planner or day-of contact. The venue also requires a licensed caterer and bartender, and can recommend suppliers without requiring clients to use only its preferred list.

Hire includes a full event-day period, with additional time available by arrangement. There are a limited number of reserved parking spaces, alongside nearby public parking options. Tours are offered by appointment, giving event planners an opportunity to view the floors and discuss the requirements for their booking.
