2nd Hellesdon Scout Group

2nd Hellesdon Scout Group offers its headquarters, grounds and selected equipment for hire to youth groups and charitable organisations. Set in Hellesdon, on the outskirts of Norwich, the site combines indoor facilities with open space for camping and group activity days.

The grounds include two fields used for camping and outdoor activities, along with a lightly wooded area. The group describes space for more than 70 people under canvas, with room remaining for games and other activities. The headquarters building has an activities hall, kitchen, side rooms, toilets and showers, and is included in the camping facilities described by the group.

Organisers can also enquire about adventurous activities on site. The facilities listed include a purpose-built abseiling and climbing tower, an air rifle range and an archery range. Qualified instructors are available for activities, with archery offered only with instructors. Camping equipment can also be arranged through the group's own stores, subject to availability.

The site is intended for organised group use, rather than promoted as a general-purpose party venue. It may suit youth organisations and charities planning a camp, outdoor programme or activity day near Norwich. The group has announced plans to refurbish parts of its headquarters, so organisers should check current access, facility availability and arrangements before making plans.
