Broad Brook Community Center

Broad Brook Community Center is a historic Guilford venue available to hire for weddings, private celebrations, workshops, presentations and community events. Set in a former Grange Hall, the building combines traditional character with renovated, accessible facilities for gatherings of different kinds.

The upstairs hall provides an open space for dancing, performances and larger events, with a stage at one end. The centre describes its interior as suitable for almost 200 guests. A downstairs dining room can seat up to 85 people at tables, or accommodate up to 100 without a dining layout. Organisers can also use the community kitchen, which is equipped for event preparation and includes cooking, refrigeration and dishwashing facilities.

The venue is suited to both private and public occasions, from wedding receptions and parties to theatre, dances, meetings and hands-on workshops. High-speed Wi-Fi is available for presentations and workshop use. The renovated building has accessible entry, an elevator serving the upper floor and accessible toilets. Parking is available on site, including accessible spaces.

Broad Brook Community Center also sets aside some days for free community events organised by Guilford residents or local organisations, subject to its eligibility rules. For private hires, discounted rates are offered to Guilford residents. Organisers can check the booking calendar for availability and contact the centre to discuss their plans. Its combination of historic surroundings, flexible rooms, stage and practical kitchen facilities makes it a useful option for events in Guilford and the wider southern Vermont area.
