The Drexel Event Center

The Drexel Event Center is a bookable venue in Guthrie, Oklahoma, set in a former neighbourhood grocery store with a long local history. Its characterful setting gives organisers a distinctive alternative to a standard function room, while the flexible layout can accommodate a range of gatherings, from small meetings to larger private events.

The main indoor room is available for hire, with additional north and south wings offered as part of selected packages. Organisers can also enquire about using the outdoor areas. Weekday evening bookings are geared towards smaller meetings and similar events, while weekend options provide longer booking periods for gatherings that need more time for set-up and hosting. Some packages include the use of a sound system, disco lighting and a commercial kitchen with utensils and a warming table. Tables and chairs can be arranged for up to 100 guests in the full-weekend option.

Basic facilities include climate control, Wi-Fi, accessible entry, restrooms and on-site parking, with additional parking nearby. Organisers may choose their own vendors, giving them flexibility over event arrangements. Set-up and clean-up are generally the booking party's responsibility unless another arrangement is made in the contract, so it is worth allowing time for these in the schedule.

Located close to downtown Guthrie and its historic district, the venue is also within reach of local accommodation and I-35. Event planners can contact the centre with a preferred date, an alternative date, event type and estimated guest numbers to discuss availability and suitable options.
