The Lyric Theater

The Lyric Theater is a renovated historic theatre in Blue Island, Illinois, available for private celebrations, weddings and corporate events. Its distinctive character and stage setting offer organisers an alternative to a conventional function room, with the space suited to occasions ranging from birthday parties and anniversaries to company gatherings, workshops, reunions and memorial services.

The venue offers flexible seating across its main floor and upper level. Organisers can choose from tables, booths, chairs and high-top seating, with private suites available for groups seeking a more enclosed setting. A full bar serves cocktails, spirits, beers and other drinks, and table service is available during live events. A dedicated event coordinator works with clients from their initial enquiry through to the event day. Organisers can request a questionnaire to discuss availability and pricing.

The theatre also promotes weddings, including ceremonies and receptions, and offers private movie screenings. Its auditorium and performance facilities provide a natural fit for events that benefit from a stage or shared viewing experience. The Lyric continues to host its own public programme of films and live performances, but organisers can enquire separately about booking the venue for their own occasion.

Located on Western Avenue in Uptown Blue Island, the theatre has on-site parking as well as nearby designated parking options. Its mix of historic atmosphere, varied seating, bar service and event support makes it a flexible setting for planners arranging a celebration, corporate gathering or wedding in the south Chicago area.
