Arbeitskreis Landsynagoge Roth e.V.
- Lahnstraße 28a, 35096 Weimar, Germany
The interior vividly conveys the history of the Jewish community and the traces of destruction from 1938. A virtual reconstruction also shows how the synagogue was furnished before it was desecrated. This makes the building particularly suitable for events focusing on historical education, remembrance and discussion. The programme includes talks, readings, concerts, discussions, guided tours and activities for children and young people. Groups can also request guided tours exploring the history of the synagogue and Jewish life in the region.
Landsynagoge Roth is not an ordinary hall for all kinds of celebrations, but a listed heritage site with a clear cultural and educational mission centred on remembrance. Event enquiries are coordinated with the association. Regular opening times with guided tours, along with a varied annual programme, give event planners and groups various opportunities to discover the venue or attend a suitable cultural event. When planning, visitors should take into account the building's special historical significance and the applicable opening times and conditions of use.
