1881 Event Hall

1881 Event Hall is a flexible event venue in Spartanburg, South Carolina, set in the historic former headquarters of Spartan Mill. Its nearly 19,000 square feet of event space includes ballrooms, smaller meeting rooms, boardrooms and reception areas, giving organisers options for both intimate gatherings and larger occasions. The Organza Ballroom can be divided into sections, while the Oxford Ballroom and additional rooms support different layouts and event formats.

The venue welcomes corporate meetings, conferences, training sessions, weddings and social celebrations such as birthdays, family reunions, fundraisers and award ceremonies. Published room capacities vary by layout, with the largest ballroom accommodating up to 576 guests in a theatre-style arrangement. Wireless audiovisual equipment is available for meetings and presentations, and the venue can provide tables, chairs, a podium, riser, dance floor, linens, place settings, setup, breakdown and event staff.

Food and drink are provided in partnership with Heirloom, the on-site restaurant. Organisers can discuss customised menus, from Southern-inspired buffets to multi-course meals, as well as bar arrangements. Wedding packages include room setup, linens, house centrepieces and other event details, with options such as a ceremony-to-reception room change. The venue's team works with organisers during planning and can suggest local event suppliers for services such as photography, flowers and coordination.

Guests travelling to an event can find hotels on or close to the property, including the connected Hilton Garden Inn and neighbouring accommodation options. With event rooms, catering, hospitality staff and nearby lodging in one location, 1881 Event Hall serves organisers planning business functions, weddings and social occasions in the Spartanburg area.
