Foscoe-Grandfather Community Center

Foscoe-Grandfather Community Center & Park offers organisers a flexible place to host gatherings in Banner Elk, North Carolina. Set on 7.8 acres between Boone and Banner Elk, the site combines an indoor community building with outdoor facilities, surrounded by the scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The building provides around 2,500 square feet of space and a large kitchen area. Heating and cooling, indoor and outdoor bathrooms, and on-site parking help make it practical for different types of gatherings. Tables and seating are available, with twelve round banquet tables, six rectangular tables and 110 banquet chairs listed among the amenities. The centre has hosted community meals, music events, meetings and other public activities, and its adaptable indoor space can also be considered for private or organised events.

Outside, the grounds include picnic areas, a stage with lighting and space to enjoy the park setting. A basketball court, hiking trail and fishing access offer additional ways for guests to spend time on site. Organisers can enquire about hiring the building, the stage area or the wider facility, depending on the needs of their event. The centre asks prospective hirers to check its events calendar for availability and contact the team directly to discuss arrangements.

The facility is run as a non-profit community centre, and rental income helps support park operations. Its combination of indoor facilities and outdoor amenities makes it a useful option for community functions, meetings, meals and other gatherings in the High Country. Check current availability and hire details with the centre before planning an event.
