Orpheum Champaign

Orpheum Champaign is a historic downtown venue available for weddings, private celebrations, corporate events and selected public gatherings. Built in 1914, the former theatre pairs ornate period architecture with a flexible layout, giving organisers a distinctive setting for both formal occasions and more contemporary events.

The main indoor space can accommodate up to 250 people standing. For weddings, the venue offers a ceremony area, reception and cocktail-hour space, an outdoor courtyard, a front foyer with balcony and an on-site room for getting ready. Couples can use the venue's collection of wooden chairs, banquet and round tables, lounge furniture and bars, as well as display tables for cakes, gifts or a guestbook. Custom wording can also be arranged for the exterior marquee and indoor letterboard. Wedding coordination is available, and organisers may bring their own appropriately licensed vendors.

The Orpheum also welcomes enquiries for non-wedding private events, including corporate gatherings, galas, performances, lectures and workshops. Its open arrangement allows event planners to shape the space around the occasion, while the historic interiors provide a memorable backdrop. The central Champaign location is close to nearby hotels, and the venue has wireless internet and accessible facilities.
