Bob Buckhorn River Center

Set within Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, the Bob Buckhorn River Center is a waterfront venue for weddings, corporate events, family celebrations and other gatherings in Tampa. Its location beside the Hillsborough River gives events views of the water and downtown, while the venue combines an indoor event room with outdoor spaces for ceremonies and receptions.

The 2,880-square-foot event room can be arranged for seated dinners, theatre-style events and receptions. Depending on the layout and use of the indoor and outdoor areas, the centre accommodates gatherings from smaller meetings to large events. Tables and chairs are included in the event-room rental, and a green room with a private restroom is available. The venue also has a board room and a multipurpose room, which can be rented separately on selected weekdays.

Couples can hold both their ceremony and reception at the venue. Outdoor ceremony options include the lawn, deck and dock, with seasonal and weekend restrictions applying to dock ceremonies. The centre also welcomes business and community organisers looking for a distinctive setting for meetings, dinners or receptions. An event attendant works with organisers and their planner on venue matters during the event, and clients may bring in qualified vendors who meet the venue's requirements. A virtual tour and in-person tours help prospective clients explore the spaces before booking.

Located at 402 West Laurel Street, the venue is wheelchair accessible, including its patio and restrooms. Organisers should note that parking is limited, and the venue requires security for certain events. Room availability and arrangements vary, so a tour is a useful step when assessing the best layout for an event.
