The Filter Building on White Rock Lake

The Filter Building is a historic event venue on the shore of White Rock Lake in Dallas, available for weddings, corporate gatherings and private celebrations. Its restored brick character, lake views and outdoor setting give organisers a distinctive backdrop for events that can move between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The building offers around 6,000 square feet across two floors, including a main hall, a second-floor loft, two outdoor terraces and a lawn overlooking the water. The main hall accommodates up to 200 people. For a seated dinner with a dance floor, the recommended capacity is lower, at around 165 to 170 guests. The venue provides tables and chairs as part of its rental package and can arrange them to match an approved floor plan.

Corporate organisers can use the spaces for retreats, conferences, dinners and brainstorming sessions. The loft can work as a breakout room or separate lunch area, while lakeside grounds and nearby trails give guests room to take a break. Private celebrations such as birthdays and graduations are also welcome. Couples can book the venue for ceremonies, receptions and rehearsal dinners, with a dedicated bridal suite for wedding parties.

Food and drink are arranged through the venue's exclusive catering partner, Food Glorious Food, whose team can tailor menus to the event. The Filter Building is rented for one event per day, with an eight-hour standard rental period. Organisers can contact the venue to arrange a tour, discuss availability and plan their booking. Rental income supports community and rowing programmes run by White Rock Boathouse.
