Up Front at Shadowbox Live

Up Front at Shadowbox Live is an intimate cabaret-style performance venue in Columbus's Brewery District, available to presenters and artists looking for a place to bring a live show to an audience. The room has seating for up to 100 people at tables, making it well suited to performances where a close connection between the stage and the audience matters.

The venue welcomes a varied programme, including comedy, music, theatre, dance and talks. It selects shows through an enquiry process, so event planners and presenters can share their idea and proposed dates for consideration. For approved bookings, the venue provides access to the space, a rehearsal period and a green room. House equipment includes a PA system, lighting, a projector and screen. Organisers can bring their own technician or ask about hiring someone from the venue's list.

Up Front also manages box office operations through its own ticketing platform. Presenters set ticket prices and retain ticket revenue, while venue staff look after the doors. Food and drink service is available, and the space is accessible to visitors with disabilities.

The venue is based inside the Shadowbox Live building at 503 S Front Street, Suite 260. Daytime use for meetings, training sessions and gatherings is being developed, so organisers interested in those formats can enquire about availability. With its compact scale, technical facilities and in-house front-of-house support, Up Front offers a practical setting for organisers planning a live performance or presentation in central Columbus.
