Bahia Belle Cruises

Bahia Belle Cruises offers event planners a distinctive setting on the water in San Diego, with private hire available aboard the Bahia Belle and the William D. Evans. These historic-style sternwheelers are moored at Mission Bay and can host celebrations at the dock, with the option of adding a cruise for occasions where guests would enjoy seeing the bay from the water.

The boats suit a range of gatherings, including wedding receptions, birthday parties, anniversaries, school dances, meetings, team-building events and corporate functions. Their characterful interiors provide an alternative to a conventional function room, while open-air decks give guests space to take in the waterfront outlook. The Bahia Belle has Victorian-inspired details such as carved wood and polished brass. The larger William D. Evans features several decks, stained glass and a paddlewheel, creating different settings for dining, drinks and socialising during an event.

Planners can discuss food and beverage arrangements, event set-up and available amenities with the Bahia team. The boats can accommodate different formats, from receptions and banquets to meetings and theatre-style presentations, with capacity depending on the vessel and layout. Wedding celebrations can make use of the boats as a reception venue, and corporate organisers can consider them for an off-site gathering with a memorable Mission Bay backdrop.

Bahia Belle Cruises is based at the Bahia Resort Hotel on West Mission Bay Drive. Organisers can contact the events team to enquire about dates, boat options, capacities, catering and whether a private event can include time cruising on Mission Bay.
