The Key Room

The Key Room is a bookable event venue in Novato, serving organisers planning business gatherings and private celebrations. Its main room and two annex spaces offer options for different group sizes, from a smaller planning session to a larger reception. The Key Room can seat up to 120 guests or host a standing reception for up to 200. The North Annex seats up to 70, while the South Annex seats up to 48. The annexes are part of the Gilardi Training and Events Center.

The light-filled rooms can be arranged to suit the occasion, and each venue has access to patio space. The facilities include high-speed internet and audiovisual equipment, with microphones and a screen available for presentations. Tables, chairs, a podium, dishes, glassware and flatware are also provided. Linens can be arranged for an additional fee, and free on-site parking is available.

The venue is suited to business meetings, team gatherings, off-site retreats, fundraisers, family reunions, birthdays, quinceañeras, retirement events, bar and bat mitzvahs, and memorials. An event planner and service staff support organisers with room set-up and event arrangements. The in-house culinary team prepares customised menus, with catering and service available as part of the event offering.

The Key Room is operated by Homeward Bound of Marin. Hosting an event also supports the organisation's community mission, which includes providing culinary training and work experience for people facing barriers to employment and housing.
