The Engine Shed Wetherby

The Engine Shed Wetherby is a distinctive venue for weddings, private celebrations and business events, set in a restored Grade II listed railway goods shed. Its brick arches, exposed beams and elevated mezzanine give the building a strong sense of character, while flexible room layouts suit both formal occasions and lively evening gatherings.

Couples can book exclusive use of the venue for their wedding, with licensed indoor ceremony spaces, a dedicated wedding coordinator and room for up to 180 guests at a seated meal. Evening celebrations can accommodate up to 450 guests. The in-house kitchen prepares menus ranging from canapés and traditional wedding breakfasts to barbecue banquets and sharing dishes. The venue also has two bars, a dance floor, a stage and a late licence until 1am.

The same spaces are available for birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, christenings, proms, celebrations of life and corporate functions. Businesses can enquire about meetings, away days, awards evenings and staff parties. The main room and mezzanine can be hired together for exclusive use, or separately for selected events. The main room has a stage, sound and lighting equipment, a projector screen, a bar and a dance floor. The mezzanine offers natural daylight, a private bar and a more intimate setting. Both spaces have air conditioning and Wi-Fi, with layouts for seated meals, theatre-style gatherings, cabaret, boardroom meetings and drinks receptions.

Located on York Road in Wetherby, the venue offers free on-site parking and is within reach of Leeds, Harrogate and York. Organisers can arrange a viewing and discuss the occasion, guest numbers and preferred date with the team.
