King River Ranch

Set among 25 acres of Texas Hill Country scenery beside the Pedernales River, King River Ranch offers a distinctive setting for intimate celebrations and small events. The property combines open countryside, river views and horse pastures with dedicated spaces for ceremonies, receptions and gatherings.

Micro-weddings and elopements are a central offering. Couples can hold a ceremony on the River Terrace and celebrate in the King Barn, with a wedding bundle that can also include an overnight stay. The ranch’s current wedding package is designed for gatherings of up to 75 guests. For events that need a separate indoor setting, the King Barn can be booked by the hour, with a four-hour minimum. It suits small affairs, luncheons, wine and art fairs, wellness events and other occasions where a characterful space is welcome.

The venue also has accommodation for groups of up to 20, including the River Cottage and Honeymoon Suite, which are rented together. Outdoor areas provide varied backdrops for photographs, while the property has parking for guests and suppliers. The team offers tours by appointment and provides event information to help organisers plan a visit and choose the right space.

Located near Johnson City and within reach of Fredericksburg, Austin and San Antonio, King River Ranch is suited to couples seeking a countryside wedding location, as well as organisers planning a smaller gathering in the Hill Country. Weddings, barn events and overnight stays are arranged as distinct offerings, so planners can enquire about the facilities and booking options that best fit their event.
