Junior League of Greater Lakeland Building
- 90 Lake Morton Dr, Lakeland 33801, USA
Set beside Lake Morton in Lakeland, the Junior League Building offers a historic setting for weddings, receptions, private celebrations and professional gatherings. The Italian Renaissance-style building dates from 1927 and combines period character with practical spaces for hosting guests.
The venue includes the Mildred Carter Jenkins Ballroom, which has a stage, as well as the Lake Morton Drawing Room, a library, an entrance loggia, a kitchen and the Celebration Garden. Organisers can use the building and garden together, creating options for an indoor gathering with an outdoor element. The site is suited to ceremonies and receptions, as well as birthdays, anniversaries, graduation celebrations, corporate events and other occasions.
For seated events, the venue advises planning for around 100 to 120 guests. Cocktail-style events can accommodate up to 175 people. A standard rental includes round tables, chairs for indoor use and buffet tables, along with access to the parking lot, an ice machine and a commercial warming oven and refrigerator. Linen is not included, and renters arrange their own catering and other suppliers. Event insurance is required, and all hired vendors must meet the venue's insurance requirements.
Rental periods include time for set-up and clear-down. Building staff can be arranged to assist with these tasks for an additional fee. Prospective renters can enquire about dates and arrange a tour with the rental manager. Located in central Lakeland, the venue gives event planners a distinctive historic backdrop and several connected spaces for bringing guests together.
