Herne Farm Leisure Centre

Herne Farm Leisure Centre offers a bookable main hall in Petersfield for private celebrations, community activities and organised gatherings. Residents and non-residents can enquire about hiring the space for weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, meetings, society events and one-off activities. Regular bookings are also available for fitness and exercise classes.

The hall can accommodate up to 90 people and has tables and seating, a kitchen, air conditioning and access to a secure enclosed garden. Organisers can use the outdoor area for a barbecue or hog roast, or simply offer guests a place to step outside. A licensed bar is available to hire with trained staff, with arrangements and charges depending on the length of service required.

The centre provides different hire arrangements for single bookings, recurring events and classes. Organisers should allow time in their booking for setting up and clearing away, and a returnable deposit is required. Some types of event have additional conditions. For example, organisers are responsible for arranging the appropriate entertainment licence when required, and alcohol served at the venue must be purchased through its licensed bar unless written permission has been given.

The centre is close to Petersfield town centre and has private parking. Its hall is the main facility offered to external event organisers, while the swimming pool is primarily for residents and their guests. Non-residents may also hire the squash courts subject to registration. Contact the centre to discuss the event, availability and the relevant hire agreement before making plans.
