Plaza de Magdalena

Plaza de Magdalena is an event venue in downtown San Juan Capistrano, offering indoor rooms and an open-air courtyard for weddings, private celebrations and corporate gatherings. Set below the Sundried Tomato restaurant, the venue provides a separate, private setting while remaining close to the town centre.

The Magdalena Room is the largest space, seating up to 229 guests with a dance floor. It has built-in audiovisual equipment and lighting, and an attached bridal or VIP suite with its own entrance. For outdoor ceremonies, receptions or other gatherings, the courtyard features a waterfall and market lighting. A smaller room, Teofilo, offers a more intimate setting with lounge seating, a television and a meeting table. The spaces can be booked individually or combined, allowing event planners to choose a layout suited to their guest numbers and programme.

Weddings are a prominent part of the venue's offer, with packages that include the room, service items and meal options. Depending on the package, couples can choose buffet, plated or family-style dining, drinks, a toast and passed appetisers. The venue also welcomes corporate events and private parties, making it a practical option for planners seeking a single location for different types of occasion. Its indoor and outdoor areas can support a range of event formats, from a meeting or intimate gathering to a larger reception. Organisers can explore the available room arrangements and wedding package options when planning an event at Plaza de Magdalena.
