The Old Schoolhouse

The Old Schoolhouse is a historic venue in Newberg, Oregon, offering indoor and outdoor settings for weddings and other private celebrations. Built in 1928 and later restored, the property brings together period character and practical facilities for hosting a full day of events.

The venue has three main spaces: a light-filled ballroom, a landscaped garden and a hazelnut orchard. Organisers can use these settings for different parts of an occasion, such as a ceremony, drinks reception, dinner or photographs. The ballroom has original hardwood floors, large windows, heating and air conditioning, and a built-in DJ booth. The garden and orchard provide outdoor options among the property's greenery and trees. Guest capacity varies by space and event layout, with the venue describing options for both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations.

Full-day wedding bookings include exclusive use of the property, two private getting-ready suites with bathrooms, and access to an on-site catering kitchen. Tables and chairs are provided, with venue staff handling their setup and breakdown. The booking also includes rehearsal time and on-site staff during the event. Parking is available for guests and suppliers, with overflow parking for larger gatherings. Couples can choose from full-day, micro-wedding and full-weekend booking options, depending on their plans and availability.

The Old Schoolhouse also welcomes showers, milestone gatherings and community events. Its combination of a historic indoor hall and outdoor spaces gives event planners room to shape a celebration around the occasion, guest numbers and preferred setting.
