Himelright Lodge

Himelright Lodge is a private-hire venue in the Valley View area of Cascade Valley Metro Park in Akron, Ohio. Set in a renovated 19th-century barn, it offers a distinctive indoor setting for wedding receptions, family celebrations, community gatherings and other private events. The lodge can accommodate up to 150 guests and is rented for a single event per day, giving organisers the building for their booking period.

The main space is approximately 67 by 35 feet and includes round and rectangular tables, chairs, air conditioning and heating. For event preparation, the facility has a refrigerator and freezer, microwave, coffee urn, sink and food preparation counters, with electrical outlets for small cooking appliances. A large monitor, HDMI connection and podium can be requested, and Wi-Fi is available. Indoor toilets, wheelchair access and parking make the venue practical for a range of guests.

Covered porch seating on two sides of the barn creates an outdoor extension, with additional uncovered seating and lighting. A natural play area is located outside, adding a relaxed park setting for family occasions. Couples can also book a separate wedding suite, made up of two private rooms with changing areas, make-up stations, garment racks and seating.

Bookings are available during daytime and evening hours, with reservations handled by Summit Metro Parks. Alcohol may be served when approved in advance through a special-use permit and subject to an additional fee. Organisers can arrange a public tour to view the lodge before choosing it for their event.
