Historic Scott House

Set in Carlton, Minnesota, Historic Scott House offers event planners a characterful venue in a home with a long local history. Built in 1869, the property began as an inn for stagecoach travellers and also served as a trading post and general store. Today, it welcomes private celebrations and gatherings in a setting shaped by its historic architecture and rural surroundings.

The venue is available for weddings, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations and business retreats, as well as other occasions planned around a group’s needs. Its heritage gives events a distinctive sense of place, making it an option for organisers looking beyond a conventional function room. The house and grounds also provide a backdrop for photographs and time together, while the location near Carlton offers a quieter setting away from the bustle of a city centre.

Historic Scott House also hosts public programmes during the year, including themed gatherings, music events and seasonal activities. These events reflect its role as both a community meeting place and a venue available to private organisers. For planners considering the property, the website provides an enquiry route to discuss a proposed occasion and arrangements. Whether the brief is a wedding, a family celebration or a business retreat, the historic house offers an individually distinctive setting in northern Minnesota.
