Lumber Exchange Event Center

Set within Minneapolis' historic Lumber Exchange Building, Lumber Exchange Event Center offers a collection of distinctive spaces for organisers planning weddings, corporate gatherings and social celebrations. Original brickwork, tall windows and the building's historic character give the rooms a strong sense of place, while different layouts make it possible to tailor the setting to the occasion and guest list.

The venue includes spaces such as the Fountain Room, River Room, Sawyers on 5th and Dylan's, as well as private suites. Organisers can book individual rooms or combine spaces for larger events. The Fountain Room's soaring atrium creates an impressive backdrop, while other rooms offer a more intimate feel or expansive downtown views. The venue says combined spaces can accommodate corporate events for more than 2,000 guests.

For weddings, the team offers planning support with timelines, room layouts and food and drink choices. In-house food service is prepared by an on-site culinary team, with custom menus, tastings and accommodation for dietary requirements. Bar service is also available, and selected essentials such as tables, chairs, linens and place settings are included with venue hire.

Corporate clients can enquire about a range of functions, while couples can host ceremonies and receptions in the same historic setting. The venue also welcomes social occasions and private parties. Its downtown location places guests near hotels, parking and public transport, and the building is described as accessible. Event planners can contact the team to discuss the occasion, guest numbers and the most suitable combination of rooms.
