Central Hall

Central Hall is a flexible event venue in Edinburgh city centre, available to organisers planning conferences, meetings, weddings, receptions, exhibitions and performances. The historic building offers several spaces that can be hired individually or used together, making it suitable for both focused business gatherings and larger events.

The main auditorium seats up to 675 and can be arranged for theatre-style presentations, concerts, receptions or dining for up to 200 guests. A separate hall accommodates smaller events, breakout sessions and receptions, while additional rooms can host meetings and seminars for groups of up to 50. Foyers provide further space for welcoming guests or displaying exhibitors. The venue also has more than 600 square metres of exhibition space.

Organisers can enquire about conference facilities, including audiovisual equipment, conference lighting and technical production support. The venue's technical team can help operate or oversee production, and additional support can be discussed for more complex requirements. In-house furnishings are available, with selected equipment and services included in some hire options.

Central Hall also markets dedicated wedding hire. Couples can arrange a ceremony, drinks reception, meal and evening celebration in one location, with exclusive-use options and support from the events team. Catering is available through the venue's established partner, or organisers can ask about using another caterer. The team can discuss requirements and provide a proposal based on the event, chosen spaces and booking details.
