The Ark Synagogue

The Ark Synagogue is a Progressive Jewish congregation based in Northwood, serving members and welcoming people who want to learn about or take part in its community. Formerly known as Northwood and Pinner Liberal Synagogue, it provides religious services, education, cultural activities and community care. Its programme includes worship, learning, social gatherings and events that bring people together in the local area.

The premises include the main synagogue, Osorio Hall and classroom spaces. These facilities have been used for celebrations such as weddings and bar and bat mitzvahs, as well as community activities. The congregation has also made some spaces available for local hire for suitable secular purposes, subject to compatibility with its religious and community work. Separate hall hire is listed for certain gatherings connected with its funeral support arrangements.

For event organisers, the venue may be worth considering for a community gathering or an occasion that suits the building's setting and purpose. The rooms are part of an active place of worship, so availability and permitted uses may depend on the synagogue's calendar and requirements. Organisers should contact the office to confirm which spaces can currently be hired, the event types they can accommodate, capacity, access arrangements and any applicable terms. The building is in Oaklands Gate, Northwood. Its online services and community activity also connect members beyond the physical premises, while the synagogue remains an active local venue for worship and community life.
