Château de Laforest
- 357 Chemin de la Forêt, 69240 Thizy-les-Bourgs, France
In the heart of Beaujolais Vert, Château de Laforest hosts weddings, private receptions and business events on an estate surrounded by meadows, woodland and a tree-filled park. Located in Thizy-les-Bourgs, the venue offers a rural setting steeped in heritage for bringing your guests together close to Lyon and Roanne.
The reception spaces include rooms in a former wine-making building, including a stone-walled wine vat room and spaces beneath a striking timber roof. Depending on the season, the available layouts can accommodate up to 150 people in high season and up to 75 in low season. The enclosed park and garden also provide space for a humanist ceremony, drinks reception or outdoor brunch. The estate can be hired exclusively for the occasion and has facilities accessible to people with reduced mobility.
To make planning easier, the team helps organisers find suppliers and provides them with a selection of trusted partners. Five accommodation options are available on site for the couple and their guests, in guest rooms or holiday cottages, with capacities ranging from two to fifteen people. Some properties have a private spa or sauna. This means guests can stay on after the reception and enjoy the estate and the surrounding region.
Château de Laforest is ideal for couples looking for a wedding venue with accommodation, as well as businesses, associations and institutions wishing to host a reception in a historic, leafy setting. The indoor and outdoor spaces offer different options for tailoring the event to the season and the format planned.
