BEAM

BEAM is a theatre and arts venue in the centre of Hertford, with spaces available to hire for a wide range of organised events. Its facilities include two performance spaces, three cinema screens, rehearsal studios and rooms for community and professional use. Organisers can enquire about conferences, corporate and social events, film screenings, live performances, concerts, exhibitions, fairs and filming.

The two stages provide auditorium settings for productions and presentations. Stage Two seats up to 140 and can also be adapted into a larger, flat-floored space. Hires can include support from the venue's technical and front-of-house teams, and events may be listed on BEAM's own programme. Cinema screens are also available for private or event screenings.

For meetings, workshops, rehearsals and smaller gatherings, Social One and Social Two offer flexible rooms. Social One has an open studio layout, a sprung dance floor and mirrored wall, making it suitable for movement sessions as well as meetings and creative activities. Additional tables, chairs and audio-visual equipment can be arranged for some room hires. Bars on site serve drinks, snacks and light food, while external food and drink is generally not permitted.

The venue is step-free, with lift access between floors and accessible facilities throughout. Organisers can discuss the intended format and requirements with the relevant team, as arrangements and facilities vary by space. BEAM combines performance, cinema and adaptable social areas in one location, giving event planners options for productions, business gatherings and community programmes in Hertford.
