Leonhardskapelle

Gasthausstraße 5, 41812 Erkelenz, Germany

Leonhardskapelle is a historic event venue in the centre of Erkelenz. The building dates back to a medieval chapel and, after various uses and rebuilding work, was adapted for cultural purposes in the late 1980s. Its historic character and distinctive architecture give events here a unique setting.
Kultur GmbH der Stadt Erkelenz manages the chapel and is the point of contact for bookings. The upper floor contains a hall that can be set out with seating and can accommodate events for up to around 120 people. A lift now also provides step-free access to the hall.
The venue is used for a range of cultural events, including concerts, readings, children's and youth theatre, cabaret, workshops and seminars. This makes the chapel suitable for event planners, clubs and institutions looking for a smaller, atmospheric venue for audiences or participants. External organisers can also discuss using the venue with Kultur GmbH.
Leonhardskapelle is not an ordinary multipurpose hall, but a historic cultural venue with a distinctive atmosphere. Anyone planning an event in Erkelenz can contact Kultur GmbH to ask about available dates and suitable conditions. The city's ongoing programme also shows that the venue is regularly used for public cultural events.
