The Woodland Lodge

The Woodland Lodge is a private-hire venue on the Culden Faw Estate, set in a clearing among the woods near Henley-on-Thames. Its secluded setting offers a countryside backdrop for intimate weddings, private celebrations, Christmas parties, dinners, drinks receptions and meetings, while remaining a short drive from the town centre.

Inside, the dining room seats 32 comfortably and can accommodate up to 40 seated guests. For a standing drinks reception, the Lodge can welcome up to 70 people. There is also outdoor space around the building, which organisers can use for a reception or activities. The venue has a commercial kitchen and step-free access, and its premises licence allows music and alcohol between 7am and 2am.

The Lodge does not provide catering directly. Instead, the estate works with SoJo Kitchen, which can arrange food and drinks packages to suit an occasion. Organisers can also enquire about activities through Team Activity Group, with options ranging from falconry and yoga to chocolate making and dragon boat racing. These arrangements offer ways to build a broader gathering around the venue, while booking the Lodge remains the central part of the plan.

Set along the tree-lined Lime Avenue, the Woodland Lodge suits event planners looking for a flexible, intimate space with a distinctly rural atmosphere. Hire is available throughout the year, with pricing provided on request. It is a practical choice for gatherings that need private indoor space, room to step outside and a woodland setting close to Henley.
