The Boxmoor Playhouse

The Boxmoor Playhouse is a theatre venue in Hemel Hempstead available to hire for private and community events. Its flexible main hall can accommodate different layouts, with tiered seating for up to 200 when arranged for performances. The stage can also be enlarged, and floor space can be used to suit the event and audience.

The venue welcomes a varied programme of bookings, including wedding receptions, dances, concerts, parties and other functions. Regular daytime and evening hire is available, making the space suitable for organisers looking for a local setting for a celebration, performance or gathering. A maple floor provides a practical surface for dancing and other activities, while the theatre setting gives concerts and stage events a natural home.

Facilities include a licensed bar, modern cloakrooms and a disabled toilet. The building has wheelchair access and an induction loop for guests who are hard of hearing. The venue's entrance hall, kitchen and bar areas support the main event space, and organisers can request the booking information pack for further details about hiring.

The playhouse is owned and managed by Hemel Hempstead Theatre Company, a volunteer-run organisation with a long history of local productions. Alongside its own theatre programme, the company makes the venue available to external hirers and guest performance organisers. It offers event planners a distinctive theatre environment in Boxmoor, with an adaptable hall for bringing guests together for a celebration, live performance or community occasion.
