Vliegveld Twenthe

Vliegveldweg 345, 7524 PT Enschede, Netherlands

Vliegveld Twenthe offers organisers a distinctive setting for business and public events at a former airbase near Enschede. Its historic surroundings, with hangars, shelters, bunkers and former military buildings, give gatherings a distinctive character. At the same time, the spaces can be adapted to a wide range of programmes, from a conference or trade fair to a staff party, festival or automotive event.
More than sixty indoor and outdoor spaces are available across the site. According to the venue, capacities range from smaller groups to events for thousands of guests. Spaces range in size from around 200 to 10,000 square metres, allowing organisers to combine different parts of a programme or spread them across the site. For example, a plenary session could take place in a large hangar, followed by breakout sessions in separate buildings and a reception or outdoor programme on the grounds.
The venue is located between the Randstad and the Ruhr region and offers ample parking. The team works with organisers to find suitable spaces and plan the practical details of their event. The combination of historic architecture, open grounds and a flexible layout makes Vliegveld Twenthe well suited to gatherings where both the programme and the surroundings play a part. There is also plenty of space for a variety of layouts and activities at trade fairs and festivals. This allows organisers to shape an event to suit their guests, scale and objectives, with the distinctive setting of a former airbase as its backdrop.
