Espace culturel Jean Cocteau

17 Rue de la Vasselière, 37260 Monts, France

In Monts, Espace culturel Jean Cocteau makes its spaces available to individuals, associations and businesses for a range of events. The venue can host family celebrations, weddings, meetings, conferences and cultural events. Its layout can be adapted to suit the event, whether it is a meal, a gathering, a trade fair or a performance.

The main hall offers 309 m², with an additional 64 m² stage. Capacity varies according to the layout and the spaces used: the standard hire is advertised as accommodating up to 250 people, while the regulations provide for several configurations and capacities. The venue also includes a foyer, the Jean-Marais room, a bar and a fully equipped kitchen. Tables and chairs are available, and a car park makes it easier for guests to attend. The stage may be suitable for speeches or performances, but professional sound and lighting equipment is not provided as part of the usual hire.

Booking requests and enquiries about availability should be sent to the relevant department at Monts town hall. Bookings should be made in good time, as the process must be started at least one month in advance. The terms, available spaces and permitted capacity depend on the planned layout and are specified in the hire contract. Located on rue de la Vasselière, Espace Jean Cocteau is a flexible option for organisers looking for a municipal venue with a stage, ancillary spaces and a kitchen.
