The Palo Alto Plantation

Set among gardens and mature trees in Maysville, North Carolina, this historic estate offers couples a private setting for their wedding day. The grounds provide a ceremony location with an arbor and custom-built pews, while the house and outdoor areas allow guests to move between the ceremony, drinks and reception without changing venues. An additional ceremony option is available at a nearby church.

The three-acre property combines landscaped grounds with the character of an old plantation home. A sycamore-lined entrance, antique fountains and an open-air stone patio create distinctive backdrops for photographs and an evening celebration. Inside, a lounge with chandeliers gives guests another place to gather, and the bridal suite provides a dedicated area for preparations. Private guest parking is also available.

The venue can accommodate up to 125 guests, with capacity for as many as 200 when a tent is used. Reception furnishings include handmade farm tables and chairs, and the patio can be lit for dinner and dancing. Couples may also arrange a horse-and-carriage journey between the nearby church and the estate.
