The Old Cattle Market

The Old Cattle Market is a flexible community hall in Helston, Cornwall, available to hire for events and activities. Set beside the Boating Lake, it offers organisers a practical indoor space for conferences, markets, workshops, weddings, community meetings and fitness sessions.

The open-plan hall provides around 280 square metres of multi-use space. Its layout can be adapted to suit different occasions, and the building can be divided into two smaller areas for events that need a more compact setting. The full hall has seating for around 200 people, while the larger section accommodates approximately 150 and the smaller room around 50. This range makes the venue suitable for both larger gatherings and smaller group sessions.

A reception area and accessibility facilities support arrivals and movement around the building. Organisers can also hire the adjoining, well-equipped commercial kitchen, either alongside the hall or independently. This gives event planners a useful option when they need food preparation facilities as part of their booking.

The Old Cattle Market is managed by South Kerrier Alliance CIC, a community interest company supporting Helston and nearby parishes.
