Dorfgemeinschaftshaus Ditterke, also known as 'Alte Schule', offers a community room for hire for private and other events. It is in the Ditterke district of Gehrden and is well suited as a meeting place for smaller, community-focused celebrations. Bookings are made on request and are subject to availability. Local associations and institutions are given priority. Other interested parties may use the room if this does not conflict with existing bookings.

The building has a kitchen, toilets, crockery and cutlery. Users set out the tables and chairs themselves and return everything to its original condition after the event. Cleaning the room, kitchen and toilets, as well as washing up the crockery used, is also generally part of using the venue. According to the usage agreement, it is possible to make a different arrangement for cleaning.

The room is generally available until 10 pm. Later events can be agreed, subject to requirements concerning noise levels and night-time quiet. Fees depend, among other things, on whether the event is private or commercial and whether the person hiring the room is from Gehrden. The named contact person handles enquiries about the terms and conditions and preferred dates. The venue is therefore a practical option for event planners and hosts looking for a community space in Ditterke for a private celebration or a gathering, and who want to discuss the organisational details directly with the allocation office.
