Die Kathedrale in der Umgedrehten Kommode

Werderstraße, 28199 Bremen, Germany

Die Kathedrale in der Umgedrehten Kommode offers event planners in Bremen an exceptional setting for private celebrations and business events. The venue is located in a historic, listed water tower on Stadtwerder. The striking building combines its old masonry and distinctive architecture with interiors designed for contemporary events. The space, measuring around 250 square metres, and the vaulted ceiling, around ten metres high, create an impressive sense of space. Depending on the event format, it can accommodate up to 130 guests.

The space is designed as a combination of a bar, bistro, open kitchen and lounge. Organisers can use the seating areas, with large sofas, high tables and places at the bar, to suit different event formats. The kitchen can be incorporated into the event experience, for example, if guests would like to watch the cooking or take part themselves. Food, drinks and, if desired, live music can all be part of the programme. Monitors support presentations and business meetings for those looking for a more informal setting than traditional meeting rooms.

The venue is suitable for corporate parties, receptions, meetings and private events, among other occasions. It is furnished and equipped with technical facilities, and an outdoor area and a limited number of parking spaces are also available. Given its historic character, the venue must be used appropriately and respectfully. Organisers should also note that, according to the operator, the venue will only be available for events until the end of 2026. Renovation work is scheduled to begin in early 2027. Until then, there is an opportunity to hold an event at a distinctive Bremen landmark with a remarkable history.
