The Backdrop

The Backdrop is a flexible event venue in Santa Rosa, California, where organisers can shape the space around the needs of their gathering. Its modern interior can be hired as a whole or divided into smaller areas, making it suitable for conferences, company meetings, mixers, fundraisers, award ceremonies, galas, reunions and personal celebrations.

The full indoor space covers 10,000 square feet and can accommodate more than 500 seated guests, 800 in an auditorium arrangement or 1,000 standing. Smaller options include a two-thirds section and a one-third section, with capacities suited to more intimate events and working sessions. A separate conference room seats more than 12 and includes video conferencing facilities for meetings and breakout discussions.

The venue also offers outdoor areas that can be added to an indoor booking. These include a courtyard for socialising and a sensory garden with paths, mature planting and a built-in barbecue. Large doors connect the interior with the outdoors, while natural light, high ceilings and movable furniture give organisers room to arrange the setting to suit their programme.

Venue equipment includes built-in sound, screens and microphones, with chairs, tables, set-up and take-down included in the larger room options. A commercial kitchen is available for catering teams, and organisers may bring in a caterer of their choice.
