Robert A. "Bob" Bowers Civic Center

The Robert A. "Bob" Bowers Civic Center is a city-operated venue in Port Arthur, Texas, offering flexible space for organisers planning conferences, trade shows, banquets, meetings and private gatherings. Its main event areas can be divided into different configurations, while smaller meeting rooms allow several sessions or gatherings to take place at the same time. This makes the centre suitable for events with a large audience as well as programmes that need separate rooms for workshops, presentations or breakout discussions.

Facilities include a spacious lobby, a portable stage, telescopic seating and an in-house sound and lighting control room. Standard audiovisual equipment is available for presentations and meetings. Organisers can also make use of a preparation kitchen and concession stands, and the venue lists in-house catering among its provisions. Free parking is available, with space for hundreds of cars and additional off-site parking. Accessibility features are provided for guests with disabilities.

The civic centre's layout and facilities support a range of event formats, from seated dinners and community celebrations to exhibitions and business events. The City of Port Arthur manages venue enquiries and reservations, with staff available to discuss room arrangements and practical requirements. The centre is located on Cultural Center Drive and offers a central base for events serving Port Arthur and the wider Southeast Texas area.
