Barones is a small-scale meeting venue aboard a classic ship in Amsterdam-Noord. Organisers hire the ship exclusively for their group, so they can work in peace and quiet. The venue is suitable for business gatherings such as meetings, brainstorming sessions, workshops, training sessions, away days and team days. Views of the IJ, the green surroundings and the sheltered location give participants space to take a step back from their everyday working environment.
Inside, there are rooms for meetings and a separate lounge downstairs, which can be used for breaking into smaller groups or taking a break. Outside, guests have access to private terraces and a garden by the water. Facilities for presentations and work sessions include Wi-Fi, a projector and a projection screen. The layout and facilities support both conversations and collaborative work sessions.
The welcome and arrangements for the day can also be tailored to the gathering. Food and drink are available on request, from coffee and lunch to other catering requirements. A host or hostess can also be booked. This allows organisers to tailor the practical arrangements to the programme and their team's needs.
Barones is within walking distance of the ferry near Amsterdam Centraal and is also accessible by car. Parking is available nearby. Combining a private ship, workspaces and outdoor areas, the venue is particularly suited to teams looking for a peaceful, distinctive place in the city for a meeting or training day.
