The Alte Schmiede cultural center in Dortmund-Huckarde offers spaces for events, meetings, exhibitions, and club activities. The venue is located in a historic workshop building of the former Hansa coal mine. Its industrial character, with high ceilings and striking architecture, gives the event space a unique character.

The centerpiece is the large hall with a stage. It is legally approved for up to 199 people and is suitable for stage performances, lectures, meetings, and other events. Seating and tables are provided. A sound system can be rented separately. The hall also features a bar with taps and refrigeration, as well as adjustable lighting. For smaller events, the foyer with a kitchen, cloakroom, bar, and restrooms is available. A gallery surrounding the hall complements the main space and can also be used if needed. Outside, there are open areas suitable for outdoor activities.

The premises are largely accessible at ground level and include a wheelchair-accessible toilet. The Alte Schmiede (Old Forge) is particularly interesting for clubs and companies looking for space for their own non-commercial purposes. Important for planning purposes: According to the rental information, commercial rentals and private parties are not possible. Beverages are provided by the landlord. Viewings and rental inquiries can be arranged directly with the Huckarde Association of Clubs.
