Old Royal Naval College

Queen Mary Undercroft is an atmospheric venue for organisers planning weddings, private celebrations and corporate events in Greenwich. Set beneath the Chapel at the Old Royal Naval College, this historic space combines vaulted ceilings and grand columns with practical features for hosting guests, including a built-in bar and dancefloor. Organisers can hire it exclusively for daytime or evening events, either as a destination in its own right or as part of a wider occasion at the college.

The room suits drinks receptions, dinners, gala events and after-dinner dancing. It can also be arranged for conferences, business meetings and group sessions, with natural daylight, Wi-Fi and projector and screen facilities available. The venue’s current corporate information lists capacity for up to 300 guests standing or 150 seated, making it suitable for larger gatherings as well as more intimate functions.

For weddings, the Undercroft can provide a memorable setting for a reception or evening party. Couples and organisers can make use of the nearby colonnades for drinks when the weather allows, and the college’s experienced events team can discuss catering and trusted suppliers. The Victorian Skittle Alley is another distinctive option for adding an activity to a gathering or corporate event.

Located beside the River Thames in the historic Greenwich college grounds, Queen Mary Undercroft offers event planners a characterful indoor space with useful facilities and room to shape an occasion around their guests.
