The Boathouse London

The Boathouse London offers event organisers a distinctive venue aboard Paddington East, a permanently moored boat in Paddington Basin. Available for private hire, this waterside setting suits intimate gatherings and business events that call for something different from a conventional meeting room or function space. The boat can seat up to 30 guests, with standing capacity for larger gatherings.

Organisers can consider the venue for corporate dinners, breakfast meetings, networking, supper clubs, product launches, weddings, bridal showers and other private celebrations. For presentations and work sessions, the boat has a large touchscreen television and projector, with flipcharts also available. The team can help with event planning and hosting, giving organisers support in preparing the space and coordinating the occasion.

Food and drink arrangements can be tailored to the event. The venue works with chefs and catering partners, with choices ranging from canapés and informal meals to multi-course private dining. Organisers may also ask about bringing their own caterer and using the onboard kitchen. Drinks can be ordered from the boat’s menu or brought in subject to a corkage charge. Styling support, including flowers and decoration, is available to help prepare the setting before guests arrive.

Set beside Paddington’s Floating Pocket Park and within walking distance of Paddington station, the boat offers a central London location with a more intimate atmosphere than a standard hired room. It is particularly suited to planners seeking a private, characterful space for a smaller guest list, with event support and optional food, drink and styling arrangements available through the venue.
