Shelby Farms Park Conservancy

Shelby Farms Park’s Great Lawn and Outdoor Stage offer event organisers a spacious outdoor setting beside Hyde Lake in Memphis. The venue is suited to public and private events that benefit from open-air surroundings, including festivals, concerts, outdoor film screenings, fun runs, 5K races and team-building activities. Organisers can also consider the lawn for post-race gatherings and outdoor dinners.

The scale of the space makes it a practical option for events ranging from smaller group activities to large public occasions. Depending on the layout and seating plan, the Great Lawn can accommodate up to 20,000 people standing or gathered informally, or up to 2,000 in a seated arrangement. The adjoining outdoor stage is designed for performances and can be used for events of different sizes throughout the year.

Set within Shelby Farms Park, the lawn gives guests a green, lakeside backdrop while keeping the event outdoors and close to the wider park setting. The venue is particularly relevant for organisers seeking room for a substantial audience, a race route or a festival-style programme rather than a conventional indoor function room. It can also suit group activities that make use of the park environment.

Event enquiries and reservation requests are handled by the park’s sales and events team. Organisers can contact the team to discuss availability and the requirements of their planned event. The Great Lawn and Outdoor Stage form part of Shelby Farms Park’s wider collection of bookable venues, but this listing focuses on the outdoor lawn and performance space.
