The 1889 Barn

Set on 21 acres near Bozeman, The 1889 Barn is a restored historic Montana property available for intimate weddings, private celebrations and corporate gatherings. Its rural setting includes mountain views, a spring-fed creek, a patio and lawn, plus a covered dance floor. The indoor space accommodates up to 50 guests, with additional outdoor areas for gatherings when the weather allows.

Organisers can choose from short hosted events, full-day hire and multi-day packages. The venue is suited to occasions such as wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsal dinners, showers, birthdays, family reunions, company parties, workshops and retreats. Wedding options include single-day and multi-day stays, with the longer package offering access to the Yellow Farmhouse for getting ready, overnight accommodation and additional celebrations around the wedding day.

Depending on the package, venue support can include set-up and pack-down, cleaning, a sound system, a bartender, a custom-built bar and coordination with suppliers. Organisers may use the venue’s existing vendor relationships or bring their own suppliers. A full bar is available, and the business also offers a mobile bar service for selected off-site events within 100 miles. It can provide bar equipment, ice, cups and garnishes, and tailor drinks to the group, including signature cocktails.

The barn also hosts its own public activities, including live music, art nights and community gatherings. Those events are separate from its venue hire service, which gives organisers a distinctive, relaxed setting for bringing their own guests together.
