The Machine Shop

The Machine Shop is a private event venue in Minneapolis, set inside a restored historic building near the Mississippi River. Its former industrial character remains visible in the original architectural details, tall ceilings, large windows and distinctive machinery, while contemporary facilities support a wide range of occasions. Organisers can hire the venue for weddings, corporate events, receptions, ceremonies and other private or public gatherings.

With around 19,000 square feet across two levels, the venue offers room to shape different layouts and experiences. The open first-floor space can serve as the main event area, while the upper level overlooks the room below and provides a lighter setting for ceremonies, cocktail receptions or smaller gatherings. A furnished lounge can be incorporated as a bar or breakout area, and movable wooden walls and portable bars help adapt the space to the event plan. Two furnished dressing rooms are also available.

The venue provides a range of tables and chairs, bar set-up and staff, security, lounge furniture, in-house sound and LED lighting. These facilities can support both formal and more relaxed formats, from seated celebrations to standing receptions and business functions. The Machine Shop welcomes enquiries from organisers planning events of different sizes and offers tours by appointment. Its historic industrial setting, flexible floor plan and built-in event amenities make it a distinctive venue option in Northeast Minneapolis.
